At what point would you say the torch passed...
ADVERTS 1
I don't normally wander into the muddy pastures of the warzone, but hearing about Direct's issues with Comcast's Vs network... Let me ask this, has Direct TV finally passed the "Choice in HD Satellite Providers" title back to Dish Network?
1) They are stooping to dish networks questionable contract wars tactics.
2) They won't turn HD-PPV into HD National content; so they are letting dish pull away in the non-rsn national HD race.
3) If RedZone HD is all that it's rumored to be, Sunday Ticket could loose some of it's luster. Perhaps that is why Charlie is going after direct instead of cable in the fall TV ads - I would imagine that due to sunday ticket; dish looses subs to direct each fall, now that they have an alternate...
If dish could solve their satellite shell game they are playing with their patchwork fleet and launch some of the networks they have been rumored to be working on (ie BBC-America HD/ESPN-U HD)... then we JUST might see the sub-rate pendulum swing back in the dish network direction

It was only "stooping" when Charlie was doing it. In most other disciplines it is known as good business.
This is a choice between shutting down operating 24/7 channels on Sunday or having room. It is conceivable that Sunday Ticket and other event programming could take upwards of 30 channels.2) They won't turn HD-PPV into HD National content; so they are letting dish pull away in the non-rsn national HD race.
If you research the crapstorm that they had surrounding shutting down TNT, you'll understand why they did it this way.

I see this site has officially shown their Anti-Directv Sentiment.
Always knew that they were a DISH site.

From the Gizmo.com article:
"I never tried the DirectTV HD DVR, but my experience with a Dish Networks DVR back in 2008 wasn't anything to write home about, either."
