Thread: Just got DirecTV- For the love of...

PLEASE don't tell me this backwater satellite company doesn't have the Travel Channel in HD!! Really? I mean REALLY??

Oh man. I hated giving up E*. Good service. Good hardware. I had heard bad things about DTV's HD box but I thought I could get around that (side note- HR23 is awful. sure hope none of you DTV subs are under the impression it's anywhere near as good as the VIP722. it's not even close).

I could have lived with that but for CRAPS sake, you really do not have Travel Channel HD??? Oh man, so much. Can even ONE of you tell me why I should keep this turd around and not figure out a way to get a Dish 500 mounted inside my new condo?

Go ahead mods. Go ahead and move this to the Warzone. I know no one goes there. Just wanted you DTV subs to know you are full of crap. Dish has a better service. And NO, the freaking HD picture does NOT look better on D*. grumble..

You KNEW that D* didn't have the channels you wanted and you had a pre conceived idea that the hardware was not as good as you want ......

But you went and SIGNED UP for D* ANYWAYS ?

I think you need to look in the mirror, if you knew all this going in. (there's NO REASON why you wouldn't have known this.

FWIW, many of us have NO PROBLEMS with our HD DVRS and we know that more HD is coming as soon as the new sat gets turned on.

Sorry, but you come accross as an idiot. If you didn't take the time to research the programming and equipment for a new satellite provider that you are about to sign a two year contract with then you deserve everything you get.

Honestly, It seems that E* is the best choice for you, and the only one that you will be happy with. I would get rid of D* and figure out a way to get the dish 500 to work in your situation.

My pleasure to accomadate your request.

I just got D* installed this week previously had E* and the HD picture quality is much better then E*. The DVR is not as good but its not that bad, plus MRV is a big plus.
