Proud Staff MemberI got to admit, I like it and now both companies have so much on each other that they can run their campaigns for a long time.

Directv needs to pounce on the $17 versus $5 extra receiver fee.

I think they may get their teat in a wringer over comparing promotional (50% off) pricing.
At least this TV ad doesn't imply that the "$29.99" package includes HD content as many of their previous ads have.

If you're trying to set the record straight, why set yourself up for a stinging return volley? The potential for this to backfire far outweighs the benefits.
DIRECTV needs to pitch themselves on what they're truly better at. If they can't figure out where they are undisputed winners, they need to avoid comparisons altogether.

Exactly my thoughts.
I now wait to see Dish network explain how they have multiple packages that are less than the Direct "base package" they are comparing. Dish could even go so far as to insinuate that Direct is forcing customers to pay more for programming they might not want.Soon adverb1: without undue time lapse
2: in a prompt manner

Saw the ad on MLB.TV today. The setup, and responses looked extremely awkward and poorly performed. 2 thumbs down.
