Thread: So, How much did your bill go up?

Dish sub here, no beer needed, just a little slow to notice this thread...maybe no one cares, but here is my price increase since last year: $5/month. Increase due to the America's Top 250 monthly package going from $64.99 to $69.99.

Last August:
Duo (2TV) DVR Receiver 17.00

State/Local Tax (Sales/Gross Receipts) 2.40
Total $ 94.39

This year:
Duo (2TV) DVR Receiver 17.00
America's Top 250 69.99
Dish Platinum 10.00
HD 250 Free 0.00
State/Local Tax (Sales) 2.40
Total $ 99.39

last year with DirecTV from March 2010 to January 2011:

Had Choice Xtra at 63.99 from March '10 till July '10

Then had Ultimate at 68.99 from August'10 till Jan '11 before it went up to 70.99 in Feb.

Plus had HD($10 fee), Starz and Sports($24), HD Xtra(4.99), 3 receivers($15), Protection Plan($5.99), and Tax($1.92)

SO, from Mar 2010-July 2010 I had a monthly bill of $125.89

Times that by 5 equals= $629.45

Then from Aug ’10 till Jan ’11, $130.89

Times by 6= $785.34

Now for a total of 11 months, I paid $1,414.79

Then adding in sports packages, had NBA LP at $179.00 and NFLST at 269.99(After Discounts applied with getting To Go Free)

That equals to $1,863.78, before my 6.00 credit per month for being with Verizon.

Now I project my bill from Feb ’11 to Feb ’12 to be this

Ultimate-$ 70.99
3 Receivers- $18.00
HD access- $10.00
DVR- $7.00 (From May-Feb’12)
Starz & Sports- $24.00
HD Xtra- $4.99
PPlan- $5.99
Taxes- $1.92

Ok, so that is $135.89 for months Feb-April, then $142.89 from May-Feb ’12

TOTAL: $1,286.01(9 months) and $407.67(3 months)

Equals= $1,693.68

Add in NFL Ticket, MLB EI and NBA LP, which I project this, $180 for NBA, $315 for NFL, and have MLB for $179.94

$2,368.52 for 12 months. And without my 6.00 verizon credit per month or any other credits.

My Satellite Bill ended up going down to ZERO, Since I switched to cable.
