BASEBALL! DISH vs DirecTV vs MLB.TV
ADVERTS 1
It's about decision time for me. After 8 years of DirecTV I switched over to DISH assuming they had MLB. (you know what happens when you assume) Now Baseball season is upon us. When I switched over to DISH I posted my concern over this issue and someone mentioned getting a Roku which I did. But it turns out that I need more than 3mb to get decent picture. I pay $46 for 1mb, 5mb would be $84 (there's no 3mb). So now I'm trapped. I could go back to DirecTV and get EIs which would be costly, raise my internet speed and get MLB.TV on the Roku that I already bought for that sole purpose but i'm now using at all or get DISH Sport Package and settle. A and B would be expensive, C i'm not sure what would happen. I had the Sports Package since January cancelled in March because there was never anything there that I wanted to watch, a lot of high school games and weird sports. How many baseball games would I find on those channels now?

If you are talking about baseball, then Dish should not be mentioned in the same breath. They can't even show all of the local games in HD to their respective markets, and when they do they often qualify with an acronym that DirecTV people have never heard, JIP

If you like sports, then Dish is not for you. They have shown how much they care about sports, by the way they have treated us in NY. If you have local RSN's, then just wait until the contract is up.
I am stuck in a 2 year contract with dish, and have lost MSG, MSG+ and now SNY. I can't wait to get the hell away from them. Think long and hard before you sign a contract with them. Find out when your local RSN's contracts expire with Dish.
