I have problem with HDMI. 480p scale is OK anything higher is a problem, no picture. Dish just roll out the new software for 211 (L433). I still can not download new software into my 211. My 211 still showing 430. Anybody, how we I download new software. I try soft/hard reboot many times yesterday and this morning. I will try again tonight and post update soon. Yes, my 211 is turn OFF/ Plug in.

Did you run check switch? Menu, 6, 1, 1, Check Switch.
L4.33 fixed my HDMI problem with the 211.

Randall. OK. I got L4.33 on the 211 tonight. I changed the HDTV aspect to 720p and 1080i. Well, rats for about 5 mins. of viewing 1080i, man I was so excite, but only working for 5 mins. It' been turning my TV off and on. I did many times soft and hard reboot. Same problem. My panny project wants to accept 1080i, but looks like not enough strong signal. I tried all handshakes and same problem. One thing I notice when I went into HDMI Analyses.I notice the HDMI is ON, Color Span is RGB and HDCP Enable is now turn ON. With l430 software, HDCP enable was turn OFF. I now leaving the HD box unplug for 30 mins. I'll be back for update soon. I you know what is going on based on my problem described, please help. I'm running out of patient with Dish. I will also email them right now. Regards Thanks.

Not much you can do about it except to run component cables, it sucks but that's the only thing you can do. Email them so hopefully they can get it right but don't expect much resolution on this issue. They fix one thing and break another one.

They fixed my OTA problem but they broke my HDMI connection with the last software update. It looks like they fixed my issue with this new one but I know several people that are still having problems with the HDMI port on the 211s.

One more thing, some people have suggested the use of an HDMI switch. Don't know exactly how that would fix the problem but you may want to do a search.

Hey thanks for the quick respond. I know for a fact it's not the hardware. I got it to work in 1080i for 5mins. When I installed my projector in the ceiling mount. I only ran 35ft HDMI. I wasn't thinking a back plan to also run component cable. Anyway, learn my lesson. Also, I do have 4x1 hdmi switch box from MONOPRICE.com works great for game and other dvd players. If Dish roll new software like this L433. Does it has to be in the HD box for a period of time for HD box to acquire everything before HD signal can all work right?

It should work right away. A reboot after a software update is always recommended.
