Add Enable/Disable Screen for 908 Popup and Mode Reminder Screen Text Update



Have you seen anything to disable this popup? I think this is the one that pops up when you press TV on the remote control.

The only downside is the inability to hide 'questionable' programming from the wife.

When a program is still on the DVR, go into the program's menu and select "Edit Name".

Change "Hot Bikini Babes" to "Economics 204".

Note that you can't "Edit Name" after it is transferred to external hard drive...

Ok,

As with one of the previous software versions (I forget which one), my local HD channels completely break up and freeze when recorded. I watch it live and it is fine, but when I play back the recording, see previous.

5.10 adding the external folder is 'ok' but the fact that there are no folders inside of it.....is a waste IMO. Sorting programs by alpha would have probably been enough

and so far 5.10 screwed my locals HD. Tears, skips and the same thing you see when a storm hits and you are right at the drop out point of signal loss.
I am still looking for ways around it other than don't time shift HD on my lils

I even rewound > hit record > playback was 'crap' and only worth deleting

all other HD works perfect but locals are messing up since the update. It could be unrelated to the update but my HD locals and just bad timing....grrrrrr

guess time will tell what's wrong

I just posted on this and you confirmed again what I was blaming on the update but didn't want to flat out say the update did it

Yes, this same exact bug appeared a year ago with one of the updates. I'm sending out an e-mail right now to a contact I have in engineering.

Great to have those contacts!
I work for software engineers and knowing a guy to IM or email sure speeds up the process

It seems worse on some lil's than others. that movie on FOXHD seems ok but the ghost whisperer on CBS is doing the 'glitch'

Hopefully they get this one fixed soon

It appears to only affect CBS & NBC, not ABC & FOX, so theNBA Playoffs should be okay....

Ive not rcvd it yet (bootstrap 1418) and maybe hope I dont now.
