Help with 622 receiver upgrade
ADVERTS 1
I have a 508 receiver and system. Dish has agreed to upgrade me to the 622 receiver at no charge because of constant failures.
I have one coax from the dish inside the house. I only have one receiver but it would be nice to be able to watch a movie and record another at the same time.
Questions:
Will I have to run another coax or will just the one I have work? (it is very difficult to run a new coax inside the walls.)
Will my existing dish on the roof work or will I need a new one?
Thanks

I don't know what they were installing before, but the dishes that they put up for new installs incorporate the ability to feed two tuners from one cable.
If the 508 isn't HD, you'll need a new dish anyway if you want HD.Dish 1000.4 Eastern Arc dish, ViP 622 with broken HDMI port
GeoSatPro 90cm dish, Sadoun PowerTech DG-280 motor, DMS Avenger PLL321S-2 LNBF, Solomend PVR-800 (Openbox S9) receiver

My 508 is old and the 500 dish I think.
I know I need a new dish for HD ... I was curious if I would have to run another (second) coax is all. That is a real project in itself.
So ... the 622 will work with just one coax from the dish to my inside equipment then?

As long as they put up the current model of dish, yes.
