    DP 34 with legacy LNB's

    ADVERTS 1
I currently have 2 vip 211 receivers connected to a Legacy Dish 500 and Dish 300 through 2 SW 21's. I'm planning to add a VIP 222 to have a 4 room setup. I was thinking of just getting rid of my SW 21 switch's. And using a DP34 instead and running 2 additional lines into the house to the VIP 222. Will my legacy LNB's work with a DP 34 or will i need to get Dishpro LNB's also.
    Thanks

Ok Thanks, I figured it wouldn't but thought i would ask anyway. Before i junked my Legacy LNB's.
One more question. Will the VIP 222 output downconverted HD programming through RF for TV 2. I would rather run RG 6 to the second tv instead of RCA's?

    Yes, it will do that.

As long as you're having to replace LNBs (the legacy Twin is maxed at 2 tuners), you might consider replacing both dishes with a Dish 1000.2, no external switch needed.

That may, or may not be a viable option. If he needs the 61.5 for his locals then the .2 isn't the answer. To the OP I would replace the legacy LNB with DP, and use a Dish Pro + 33 Switch instead of the DP34. That would allow you to run just one SAT line to the 222.

Phoenix HD locals are on 110. The 1000.2 is fine for AZ unless there's a LOS issue.

No LOS issue. Just wanted to use what i already have up on the roof. My locals come from OTA. Does the 222 have a built in ATSC tuner for TV 1 and a OTA module must be installed for TV 2? Or do i need the module for both?
    Thanks again everyone.

The 222 has 1 built-in OTA tuner for use only by the TV1 viewer.

The optional 2-tuner OTA module is only for use with the 222k, 722k, and future 922, giving the TV2 viewers their own OTA tuner.
