Are local channels on Eastern Arc in Providence RI. ?

I am considering upgrading my equipment to 722k's and it might be a good time to go with 1000.4 and Eastern Arc. I presently have two 500. Would it make sense to go to the Eastern Arc and will I get local channels off one dish? I don't have alot of tech knowledge but after reading this forum there seems to be alot of favorable comments on the Eastern Arc. What are the advantages?

All MPEG 4
The EA is all MPEG 4 which uses smaller amount of space on HDD for recording. It is also a newer standard and allows more channels per transponder. Some feel that the PQ is better with MPEG 4 than with MPEG 2. Originally Posted by handymantoo
