All of the HD receivers also do SD. I've got a 622 and 722, both get the SD channels just fine.

Hey which HD rcvr or HD DVR is the best for me to get? Any suggestions? I have seen on the site where some people are having problems with certain HD rcvrs.

722K (DVR) is the top right now until the expensive 922 comes out. 211K (1 HD tv) or 222K (1 HDTV, 1 SD) receiver if you don't want a DVR.

The whole purpose of this kind of site is to help folks with problems, so you'll see problems here - you can't make any kind of overall conclusion about certain receivers having problems based on problems reports in a forum like this.

My 622 & 722 are both rock solid - but my very first 622 only lasted about 2 weeks.
