Failed to activate reciever?

I'm trying to activate a new reciever so i can add it to my slingguide site but everytime i go to activate it it says failed to activate reciever. please try again later. any ideas.... btw i checked the connection and it has an ip address.

call E might be a card issue, that is t may need the latest card

Be sure the receiver has the most current firmware, if the firmware in the unit is not the latest firmware, the receiver will not be able to accept the Activation signal sent to it via satellite.

receivers with old imbedded card will hang forever on the activation screen.......
call E
this happened to me recently E sent a new card quickly.
at first the CSR was unsure of the problem.......

Ty for the help guys... that night i heard the reciever come on for updates. next day it activated just fine. WOOHOO
