    622 Record Option Confusion

    ADVERTS
I sat down last night and put in all of our shows we wanted to record.

Today I look at the list and am confused as to what happened.

The 622 doesn't warn you when you pick 2 items at the same time. I assumed it would, like my old Motorola DVR would set my first item I picked as Tuner 1 and second item Tuner 2, then third item warn me and ask me which one I wanted to delete.

So I happily went through and setup all my recordings to find most of them not going to record. It insists on setting them all to Tuner 1 instead of being smart enough to record with Tuner 2.

Is there a way to force it to do this? When I goto the second TV and set a timer its on Tuner 2.

There are plenty of situations, especially Sunday nights where we want to record stuff on HBO and Showtime, then watch our OTAHD locals.

Last night I picked an item to record, while another item was recording and it automatically picked Tuner 2. I could watch OTA fine and as I expected when switching into the Sat range it warned me.

I'm assuming I'm missing something, if it doesn't auto pick Tuner 2 then thats a serious screw up and the rest of the box seems so decent.

Another problem....I want to record Soundstage, no matter who is on, repeats or not. When I tell it to record every single copy of Soundstage, but yet the list says its not going to record an event because its a duplicate. I don't care if its a duplicate, I want it to record.

    Any help?

    Thanks

Are you in single or dual mode? Meanwhile check on this: Menu, Preferences (8), Record Plus (6). Acivation set to enable and Record Prefence set to tv2.

Yes I am in dual mode. I'll check the preferences, but does this mean it will then default to tuner 1 when it comes into a conflict with tuner 2?
