Is there a basic User Manual anywhere? Not being an installer, but just someone who wants to point my dish from my RV, I'm a bit confused about the proper method. I also wonder about the skew angle. Dishpointer gives me a 29.1 degree from my house, but the Dish Network chart says 122 degrees.

    Hi,
In the app description (on iTunes) are the basic steps outlined how to use the app - but it is actually quite self-explanatory. If you are looking for instructions on how to install a dish (rather than using the app) then you are almost right here, the DishNetwork section Dish Network - Technical Discussions - SatelliteGuys.US will suit you better though.

As for the skew: The DishPointer app gives you by(!) how much to skew the dish. So, if the marking reads 90 when it is unskewed, you skew it by a further 29.1 acc. to your example above, and the marking would read 119.1 which roughly matches the Dish Network chart at 122 degrees (the discrepancies might be for many reasons but generally, when the zip codes match then the skew matches as well).
