Not so much for me. I think the occasional tie-in to "The Doctor" is the only thing that has kept it afloat thus far.

BBC-America has been running commercials for the Children of Earth Miniseries, and saying it will be shown in July (exact dates not given).

BBC America needs to get it together and launch the HD channel prior to airing.

BBC America will be showing the Children of Earth Miniseries on July 20-24.

BBCA Goes HD With Sci-Fi Stack - 2009-06-01 06:00:00 | Multichannel News

Quote:
Starting Monday night, July 20, the channel will air five consecutive nights of top-rated sci-fi drama Torchwood. They essentially comprise a season of the show, about an elite team battling with space aliens. Collectively they're called Torchwood: Children of Earth. At 8 p.m. the first night, the channel will air a behind-scenes special called Inside the Hub, followed by the first Children of Earth hour. Succeeding nights, the previous episode will air at 8 followed by the next Torchwood.

So did the BBC decide to wait and air it simultaneously in the UK and America or something?

BBC America says they are going to show it on the same days, but that statement was back in January.

"Torchwood: Children of Earth" to air this summer over consecutive nights? | AfterElton.com

Quote:
but BBC America president Garth Ancier is here in Los Angeles for the Television Critics Association January tour and after he presented panels for BBC America's latest offerings, I had the chance to ask him if he had an air date for Torchwood: Children of Earth on BBCA. He didn't yet have a firm air date as BBC America is waiting for the BBC to finalize their date, but he was fairly certain that it was going to be the first part of this summer, possibly late June or early July. He also said that not only would BBC America air the five episodes on consecutive nights as they are doing across the pond, but that they would also air in th U.S. the same day as they did in the U.K. meaning American audiences will have almost no lag time in seeing the series.
The BBC America site still shows it starting on July 20th @ 9pm.

BBC itself doesn't give any dates on their site.

BBC's press office put out some programming info for Week 27, which apparently equates to July 4-10. It includes Torchwood.

BBC - Press Office - Network TV Programme Information BBC Week 27 Unplaced

Which means BBC will be airing Children of Earth two weeks before BBC America.

But then, at this point I have no reason to believe Dish will be carrying BBC America HD on the launch date, July 20th, anyways.
