disecq problems
ADVERTS 1
i have a little dish up on the roof and out in the yard dishes 1 and 2, and a bud and a primestar. well the bud is already ran into my bedroom, and i have one other cable so i want to use the other three dishes to the disecq switch and just use the one cable into the room. problem is sat 1 and 2 work fine, but that damn primestar will come on for a few on disecq 3 and then just vanish, these things are supposed to be good for four dishes arent they? they do come in handy if i can just get the p star to going. any help? thanks guys, joe

Have you tried port 4? Another Diseqc?
What happens when you remove the switch and connect directly to the Primestar dish?LG550, Pio51FD/Pio VSX-03TXH/Pansat 9200/AzBox/7MC>360 extender| 1.2m motorized/90cm on 101 & 105/80cm on 74 & 79/Homemade Gray-Hoverman: OTA/FTA/Netflix/Vudu for my viewing entertainment

make sure everything is off (with switch in the back of the receiver) when swapping out coax connections on a diseqc switch ..

I strongly suggest having extra switches and coax laying around.
Extra 22 k's are good to have around as well. Add diplexers to that list. I learned all of this the hard way.
Switches fry easily from moisture and static discharge. Treat Diseqc switches as you would your computer. Be very careful. Do some swapping with the power off in the back. Good luck!
