    No sound some channels

    ADVERTS 1
    Greetings All,

I noticed that some of the free channels I downloaded, from 123 sat, do not have sound. I believe it is becuase they may be digital channels.(?) I have a Coosalt 4K Pro. If this is correct, do I just hook up my IRD to a digital tunner?

You would need either an IRD that decodes the dolby digital signal or connect the optical or coaxial out to an external decoder.

    Thanks Larry1,

And thanks for the indicated thread as well. I read it and there is a lot of info. But, I wanted to ask, my Coolsat 4K has an S/PDIF connection - I beleive this decodes digital (AC3) sound does it not?

I have and older SONY which only has COAX, S-Video, S-Link & RCA connectors. Can I some how make the digital connection between my ghetto equipment? Thanks.
