TeVii S470 PCI-E & S660 USB DVB-S2 Sat Card Tuners
ADVERTS 1
Anyone has hands-on experience with these
TeVii Technology
made DVB-S2 devices? There are quite a few reports on the web that latest versions of these cards, utilizing CN
Montage Technology
made Tuner and Demodulator, have excellent Windows and Linux drivers, and exhibit very few problems if any, are very stable and remain cool after long use. Their drivers are said to support multiple same model cards in Windows working simultaneously. And they're priced quite reasonably.

More reports confirm usage of Montage frontend in TeVii Technology's current product line-up.
The manufacturer's website says that the above cards use "Low power consumption DVB-S2 chipsets", which is hard to say about CX chipsets.
On the German forum
dvbshop24
the info is further clarified:
"I bought TeVii s470 PCIe DVB-S2 card for my HTPC. I live in the UK and have a Sky Digital Dish that is pointing towards Eurobird 1 /ASTRA 2. The dish is stationary at this angle.
I followed the instructions for the linux tevii_ds3000 drivers for S470.
Kaffeine Linux Player sees the card as Montage Technology DS3000/TS2020"
