>>>> Everyone should look into upgrading their OTA capabilities and get a deep fringe outdoor antenna ( with a rotator) and use a 30 db MAST MOUNTED amp. This adds a new dimension to the meaning of "FTA".

Funny Lyngsat update 83W showing no more RTV .

That's strange that Lyngsat pulled the RTV listing so quickly, considering they always seem to take weeks or even months to update certain things.

I think that the last time I checked, that 4440 was the correct SR. The frequency, however could be anything around 11734-11736, and it's going to be dependent upon how stable your LNB is, as most will drift quite a bit, particularly when the temperature is changing. Most receivers can be off a bit on freq, but some have to be right on. Anyway, I'd leave the SR on 4440, but vary the freq.

Thanks, I use the Visionsat IV 200 PVR as my main "install receiver" and I tried getting 83 West on the World Direct dish with the included LNB and also a older DirecPC duo dish and LNB. No go on both.
Can anyone elaborate on the "NBC" feeds that Lyngsat shows 83 West as having? Do the feeds come and go? Are there color bars when there are no active feeds? Any good stuff there? Should I start another thread?http://www.myretrotv.com/affiliates.html

Start another thread about what?
They are just feeds. Blind scan the satellite and you will see for yourself. Mostly dead air except when things are happening. Stuff comes and goes, depending on what the customer's needs are.
