The signal on Ku band is fairly strong with a 1 meter dish, I don't have C Band so I'm afraid I can't help you there, what station are you trying to get?

Smile C Band Set Up

Welcome to the world of C.
Here is what got me off the ground and in the right direction.
hxxp://www.geo-orbit.org/sizepgs/tuningp4.html You know the drill
Replace the xx with tt.
Read that page about 3 times, wait 2 days and go back and read it again.

You will need some way of moving the dish, either an old IRD or a V-box or G-box positioner, unless you just want AMC 4.

Good luck and pm me if you need some help.
I will swing over to AMC 4 later (when my wife is done watching tv) and let you know what signal strength I get in Ottawa.

Later.
Dave.

Charly,

Here are two footprint maps of satellite AMC 4 @ 101.0 W from Satbeams.com for you to reference. One is for the Ku-Band and the other for C-Band.

Hopefully this is some information that you can use. Disregard the dish and motor angles shown in the left box, they don't have a valid reference in these pix and are therefore meaningless for your location. If you register as a Satbeams user, you can enter your precise coordinates and obtain the accurate information for these angles. Registration there is FREE of charge, but you may enter as a guest and use just about all the available resources there.

This site also has channel and TP lists for you to peruse, similar to Lyngsat and SatCoDx, if you wish.

Golden Eagle Broadcasting (AMC4) is really quite strong here in Eastern Maine. (30 miles west of ST. Stephen, NB) All I have for C-band is a 1.2m "mini-bud", and it's fixed on 99w now. Ran across AMC4 several time while setting up.

GL, Eric

Ku band also for BVN, not sure if it's on C-band or not.
