    FSS LNB Question

    ADVERTS
I was given a super dish with the FSS linear lnb attached. On a previous thread I remember someone saying that the FSS is a vertical lnb. If this is true, Is it possible to turn a vert lnb into a Horz lnb by rotating it 90 degrees?

Yup. I have accidentally installed an LNB wrong and had to flip all the polarities of my TP's because I was too lazy to change it (it was on a c-band dish and required a ladder).

The FSS LNB is stacked so the vertical polarity frequencies are "normal"...the H are going to be off because they are "stacked" above the Vertical

There is no "vertical" or "horizontal" position on a stacked LNB. It can work with both

set LNB lo to 13850 and scan vertical only. All the transponders will show up

The advantage of stacked LNBs is that all polarities are available at all times over the same single cable. This eliminates a lot of switching and cabling headaches ...
