| | Ohio News quality has fluctuated latelly. Use to be really high but now its pretty low so a 18" might not work.
I also did the 18" for AMC6 and had decent results.
Also the maps on Lyngsat take with a grain of salt. I think that means if the channels are sending the most power from the source. If they lower it, then that hinders the reception on smaller dishes

I went to Lyngsat and checked the strength for my area and the map shows nearly 49 db strength for my area, I am getting something in that direction with a 85 to 90 db strength but absolutely no quality. http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/horizons2_namh.html
Should I give up on trying to get this with a 18" dish?
Thanks | The weather was sunny and in the low 50ths here in lovely south New Jersey and I decided to break out the old 18x20 direct tv dish and see what I can get. I used the dish a Chapparral LNB and the receiver is the Fortec Dynamic. My TS sat is 74 west. Here are pics of the dish and SQ for 72, 74 and 79W.

Mike, thanks for GREAT pictures of the setup and reception with the two dishes.
Is the Dish 500 larger than 18"?
I been experimenting with a old 18" Direct TV dish with a Linear LNB and a bracket.
I see the bracket you are using seems higher up than the one I am using. I could do some modifications and push the LNB higher.
Does that make a difference?

Thanks Ice, I think that is why I didn't get a Q from ONN.
