I have a cheap lnbf " ROC universal single lnbf" Model LTS 11B, can this cause the quality strength reading jump from say 85% to 0% and back to 85%, never stays steady on any satellite.if so what would be a good lnbf to use? thanks for any reply

Can you try a different receiver, switch (if any), and different cables too?
Try to eliminate everything, leaving the LNB.
I use a DMX522, works great, and gives a little color too.10' Unimesh w/ DMX741, GBox 3000, AZBox Elite, SatHawk PVR800 with Motorized Prime Focus 36" Backup.
Diamond 9000, Motorized 80cm BJU Dish.
