New Years Eve broadcast

I surely hope that I'm not breaking any rules on posting this and that is by no means my intentions!

I simply would like all to enjoy the coming of a New Year from the most popular TV place on that very second.

Au ... dumb question .... lyngsat has both of those transponders listed as NTSC rather than DVB. Um ... can we watch those on digital receivers?

(I SAID it was a dumb question)

phottoman, sorry to say I'm still a newb at this stuff.
Hopefully others can answer this but it seems like the network is opening this up for all to see? Ads will be sure to be on every 5-6 minutes... LOL.
With the "heads up" I would hope so? Missed the Dec. 28 program.

I tried to watch the 1/2 hour feed on Monday and it wasn't DVB. I posted the question and someone told me it was analog. So won't see it here at my house. Guess I'll watch the "A" ASN on 107 W Cband and see how those Canadians celebrate an hour earlier. Blind

Talking about Canadian New Years Celebrations - For those who are able to get the CHCH channel on Starchoice, Bell, Over the Air they usually cover the New Years celebration at Niagara Falls Canada.. In past years they've had video coverage of the concert there. Artists like Foreigner, Roger Hodgson (Supertramp), Denis DeYoung (Styx), Kim Mitchell. Might be worth doing a scan of the CHCH signals on C-Band to see if they're in the clear that night. I get it on BellTV..

This post was already explained in the "Wildfeed column". However not many have access to it. However the feed will be also uplinked on 58W sat, but limited hours of coverage in DVB. I'm sure if you check the wildfeed pdf chart on a previous post that I posted there will be coverage between the 3 sats that ABC uses. ABC has several other sats for coverage and I'm sure they will also be in use but not officially published.

IIRC from seeing this year's coordinates, there is a HD feed available as well for the first time to North America!

I'm planning on rolling hard drive for the feed.

I've just swung my 1.5M dish on to the intelsat 905 24.5 West for the European feed which says PAL but I think it is DVB as there is a SR. That will be 7am EET so 2 celibrations this year.

Thanks Tracker

Just remember that there is limited coverage...only 1/2 hour on those sats from 11:45pm EST to 12:15am EST. Most receivers will adjust to PAL/SECAM automatically once it is receiving DVB signals on our FTA receivers.
I tried to setup up the analog feed Wed evening but there was no signal broadcasting in analog on the 12100 V. I locked onto a DVB Mpeg 2 signal to confirm reception of the sat, then switch out my receiver DVB receiver with an analog receiver. I will try today to confirm that they are broadcasting the analog feed when it comes up and post confirmation for those trying to get it tonight.
