    OETA HD

    ADVERTS 1
Is anyone able to receive the OETA channels on 125W? Lyngsat has them as 12112/V/8703 DVB-S2-8PSK. I'm able to get the east/west HD channels with about 40% Q on my AzBox as well as Montana PBS but am unable to lock the OETA mux.

I can lock it on the Sathawk but VERY LOW quality.....like 20
not enough to keep it stable

    I think I need a big dish aimed at 125W (like a 4 footer)
Winegard 76cm dish, SG2100 motor, Sadoun dual KU LNB..... Directv Slimline SWM 3 LNB.... GeoSatPro 36" dish with Sadoun dual KU LNB... Coolsat 5000 on motorized.... Manhattan RS1933....Directv HR34 (yes the 5 tuner monster) GeoSatPro 200 to aim dishes.... few receivers not set up yet
Two 6 foot Fortec dish with GeoSatPro dual C-Band LNB "ghetto moved" to various C-Band satellites

That's what I was afraid of. All the more reason to get a motorized 1.2M I guess

I'm getting them at 99Q on my CS8000 and 1M dish. 99Q on CS8000 doesn't mean much , except it's a strong signal. Probably you have a slight dish misalignment. Try tuning the mux with the CS8000, it's much easier than the screwy signal meter on the AZbox. I'm amazed at how much better my 1M dish is , compared with my 90cm dish . All the diff in the world when trying to haul in these 8psk tp's .

I'm getting it on AZBox without any problem on 1 m dish, but dish needs quite precision tuning for DVB-S2

We normally have strong winds here, but had snow/rain/ice again for most of today and strong north winds now, so OETA's uplink may be affected too.

Needs to warm up so I can finally move my Dishes to their new home this weekend. 18 degrees and 20mph winds is not my idea of optimal installation conditions.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I think the signal is just too weak up here for me to get it on anything less then a 1m. Messing around with the LPB transponder hasn't yielded any results, so I guess I'm hooped for the S2 stuff.

I get OETA about 20% of the time with a 1 meter dish here on the east coast, I was actually able to record Dr Who on Saturday night, right now its a no show (snowing again)
LPB comes in about 40% of the time although I rarely get both at the same time.
Looks like I need at least a 4ft dish I'm just not sure my motor could handle it.
