Question Old Dish Network setup for FTA

    ADVERTS 1
I have an old Dish Network antenna set up on my condo (round 18"). I’m assuming it is Dish 300+ with one LNB (assuming Standard). I also have Viewsat 9000HD. I was getting Polish channels few years ago. I am assuming the dish is pointing to 119 W? Is it EchoStar 4, 5, or 7? I would like to get any free channels that bird is offering but I’m not able to get anything. My meters alway say S: 48 +/- and O: is always 0. Please help.

Can someone also tell me the difference between Auto Scan, Blind Scan, and Terrestrial Scan please.

There are no longer any free channels on any DishNetwork satellites.

You'll need a "Standard" Ku LNBF and a 36" dish to find anything to watch.
The 18" dish and circular LNBF are not useful.

    Here's a real
    easy-to-read list

    of what's available.
You can sort it by language, if you like.
For a more technical list, see The List!, at the top of any page here on the forum.
