how to skew and position an eagle aspen B1sat stack
ADVERTS 1
hi guys, just got my eagle aspen sat stack and wanted to know the best way to get it up and running.I have a six foot dish and have been trying to get a signal on my true south but to no avail.I have aimed ku dishes for some time so i think the 741u is dead.So if you can get me up on this eagle aspen which has no markings for skew or f/d i will appreciate it...thanks for your time

here is how I had mine near true south (my true south is 93...this was for 99)
LNB on left...basically the coax at the bottom and the bottom edge "flat" for true southWinegard 76cm dish, SG2100 motor, Sadoun dual KU LNB..... Directv Slimline SWM 3 LNB.... GeoSatPro 36" dish with Sadoun dual KU LNB... Coolsat 5000 on motorized.... Manhattan RS1933....Directv HR34 (yes the 5 tuner monster) GeoSatPro 200 to aim dishes.... few receivers not set up yet
Two 6 foot Fortec dish with GeoSatPro dual C-Band LNB "ghetto moved" to various C-Band satellites

You can always pop the cover and mark with a sharpie where the probes are, a good time to make sure they are at 90 degrees to the bore on the waveguide.

As for F/D, that's something I played with until I maxed out the quality. On my 6 footer, the B1SAT feedhorn throat is about 1/3" from being flush with the scalar. I did not notice a great difference in quality as I moved the LNBF closer and farther from the dish.
