Unable to add TP on a Viewsat Ultra

    ADVERTS 1
Last nigh I started not being able to add TP on my Viewsat Ultra. When I press F1 the screen flashes but the new entry never comes up. I have unplugged the unit and hard powered it. I would prefer not to restore factory defaults, because it would take a week to re-add all the Sat information. Any one ever had this issue and knows how to fix. Everything else works fine. I can edit TP and delete just not add. Original firmware. Thanks for the feedback

How many channels do you have in total? You may have reached the memory limits on it. Try deleting some unused tps or channels to free up some memory. I remember when I had one of those, it would start to act weird when it got close to being "full". And mine never stored what they claimed it would store, in number of channels. Once you get it the way you want-you can store your channel list to a USB-thumbdrive. Then, if you have to factory-default it, you can stick your channels right back in without all the manual work.
    Icon 550, Vantage 1100HD (thanks Stogie) on .90M primestar DG380 motor.10'Sami+GI650 for c-band.
CS5000 now on 1m primestar-polar mount backup system.

I went through that once. Luckily I found a couple of tps not being used on that particular sat so I just went ahead and edited one of them with the tp data I was looking for. Hope this is also an option for you.

Yes turbosat he is out of memory it happen to me a few times. You need to delete some sats that you do not really care about. Or go tru all of the sats that you are not using and delete all transponders to free up a little space.
