Blind search ables you to scan a satellite for all of the frequencies that are on it and will provide you with the the symbol rate. Easy way to find channels.

Auto Scan only scans the known transponders stored on the Traxis.......

    "BLIND/POWER/SMART" scan is really a MUST have.....(IMO)

auto scan scans the frequencies that are entered in the unit.

Blind Search/Smart Search searches the whole KU spectrum and finds the frequencies that aren't published, like sports and news feeds.

As PSB said, a Blind/Smart search is a must to really enjoy the whole FTA experience
