This unit is only missing a C-band dish and most likely would have been the satellite receiver sitting in someone's living room in the early 1980's. It would be of interest to a museum or collector, but no practical purpose other than documenting history.
The LNA and the downconvertor components are now packaged in a single small unit called an LNB. The tuner is of course, analog and is the equivalent to an old radio with a manual tuning dial. It used to be fun using the manual audio tuners to quickly find additional audio subcarriers.Brian Gohl - Satellite AV, LLC (Gold Sponsor)

Yes they are Dino stuff i use to install them in 1984 and they went for
approx 4000.00$ to 4500.00$ analog units with a lot of sparkling snow on weak transponders, but they were the good old days....
What do you think Ice....Last edited by bobsav2001; 01-27-2012 at 10:09 AM.

Yes that a veteran from the old days back when they still had the down converter (pre LNB days). Not worth much these days. I met Clyde Washburn back in the 80's he was one of the original receiver manufactures.

Still have a couple LNAs and preamps if you need spares...
Helps to give my shop a "cluttered" look...
