Thread: results of blind scan on satmex6 and satmex5 c-band

Please share the SatMex Blind scan testing results of the logged transponder/channel list along with your location, dish size, LNB(f) brand/model/configuration. I will will be happy to rescan SatMex nexxt week and post the Blind Scan results of the microHD for your comparison.

7.5 solid dish, homebuilt legs with dmx-741 lnb, gbox 3000, and new actuator.

in order to do a blind scan, erased all existing 21 channels on satmex6 and deleted all transponders except for existing imagen 3875/h/4166. then blind scanned satmex6 at 13feb2012 at 0100Z.

hmmm. i don't know how that line i had after i signed off got in there but it is not valid. i did have about 54 channels on satmex5 before i deleted them and the transponders before the blind scan. charlie

wow, your counts are off. There are 48 signals (single locks that are DVB-S or DVB-S2) that form 97 channels. You only show like 45 channels and probably 11 signals if I counted right.

scanned satmex6 again and added 4 channels. i got mayavision and teleforula and added two new ones.

3775/v/2082 Ch-3. that one had a low signal level and had @superchannel 22 on the lower right of the screen. pretty gal is talking about cooking something. haven't figured it out yet.

with the other you had, i added the transponders and scanned them in right away. curious though, all these are Vertical. it might be that i need to set my lnb differently? anxious to get the microhd and see what the blind scan brings in. i have 26 tp's now and 24 channels on satmex6. charlie

skysurfer, i added all the tp's from the 'list'. before i did that i scanned 46 channels. after i added the tp's, i now scan 23 channels. hmmmm. that was with a blind scan. then i went to the preset scan. i get 39 channels. since i kept the channels i had with the first blind scan i have a total of 59 channels now. i do see there are some duplicates like SOY GUERRERO. charlie

skysurfer, i'm up to 67 channels now on satmex5. added tps, removed tp's, and edited the firmware to get the tp's in order for vertical and horizontal. but one problem. i scanned once with no tp's and i got a catholic religious indication of something about mary. should have written it down because after editing and changing i can't find in now again and it's not in sathints or the list. charlie
