Digicipher 2 FTA
ADVERTS
Forgive my ignorance but I am just starting with this.

My question is, would it be possible to have a PCi DVB card pick up on Digicipher 2 FTA signals? Or are they totally different species?

Good question. I want to know this.
I think Motorola is the manufacturer of 4DTV. They should make a 4DTV "Digicipher 2" smart card.

You can not decrypt a DC2 signal to make it useable.
The TSReader software can see the associated tables, but can't decrypt the signal.

Digicipher is a method of encryption and transmission.
Even the signals that are FTA can only be received by an authorized receiver.
