I have the universal package of viewsat 2000 and I am looking for ways to get european and indian channels?

Have a look at the below links for lists of satellites with LEGAL FTA programming, always check the satellites FOOTPRINT to make sure it can be seen from this country....

Watch for C-Band signals, they have a 4 digit frequency and require at least a 6' dish.
KU Band requires at least a 30" dish and those frequencies have 5 digits.

Ku- SBC2 in IA5 is a Indian channel showing comedy secenes form hindi movies and Maharishi Open University in IA5 are two Indian channels I could get. STV- Bangla is there in IA5 if you know Bengali
I think with C-Band set up you should be able to get Zee TV USA
