When you launch DVB Dream is the Sharp Driver shown at the top window line?
The sequence in which you launch the QQ Box is very important as they all seem to have an issue with "Reset".
BlazeVideo will not scan more then 100 or so channels without a crash. Best to remove this software from your PC. Delete all driver files. Load a new copy of DVB Dream.
launch pc then plug in USB then power and launch DVB Dream. You should hear the windows USB confirmation tone when you plug in. If not then Standard Enhanced USB PCI driver is not installed. See the Picture attached.
The DVB World Manual states that you must install a USB_PCI.device to open the USB port. This is available at windows download.

Thanks for reply.
When launched dvbdream only display at top Device Offline! but if I check Options -> Device I see bda version 2.0.0 (dvbdream v1.4i) or bda version 2.4.0 (dvbdream beta 1.5 beta 7) and at bottom have LME_PCTV_DVBS_SHARP0288 when I select bda and click in Start got message again (hardware initialization error: 12) Device Offline. I do many resets without success so I decided do a fresh install windows XP again and got same message (hardware initialization error: 12) in dvbdream beta and stable version, with last progdvb I can do manually scan without display signal/quality levels but can see channels, so I downloaded Windows 7 evaluation copy build 7100 and like magic dvdream worked fine when I follow you instructions but I want to using this device in windows XP.
I need to install Windows XP again and check if have USB_PCI.device.
Thanks

Thanks | Well, that is good news.
Windows 7 is something I had not tried, that is welcome information.
Yes, the correct file name is Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller. Check in Device Manager to see if is listed.

Hi,
I installed XP again and have same message in dvbdream (Cannot Initialize DVB Hardware! ErrorCode: 12 Application will work in Offline Mode)
So I checked Device Manager and don't have Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller and I can't find this driver and searched more about this I think this are only information about usb 2.0 capable ports I have in Device Manager "Intel 82801EB USB2 Enhanced Host Controller" I think this match with information below: How can I tell if I have USB 2.0?
I don't think problem are this driver because QQBox running fine in Progdvb, Dvbviewer,BlazeDTV, only in dvbdream have message error, in Windows 7 don't have Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller and Dvbdream worked fine, I think about bda.reg (I have with prof-tuner device same problem after load bda.reg dvbdream worked fine) maybe some registry lines make dvbdream work with this device, I tried to change bda.reg with QQBox information without success so far.
Do you know anyone who have QQBox running in XP and dvbdream ?
(sorry for bad english)
Thanks

I agree, it is related to DVB Dream. Go to the "help" icon and get Authors eMail address and see if he can give you solution.
Are you running XP on a laptop?
Your English is effective, that is all that counts.
I have a problem with DVB Dream on my VISTA laptop. Sometimes it will not display video or produce audio. When this happens I boot ProgDVB and tune the channel and then close ProgDVB and reopen DVB Dream. Often times I will get it to work that way.
I have noticed that once I get DVB Dream working it is best not to use other programs that use these codecs.
It seems that DVB Dream, for no particular reason will start to work.
Are you able to run AltDVB with your QQ Box? I'm not having any luck. I would like to get it running to get the DISEqC codes to plug into DVB Dream to run a motor.
You must go to windows download section with a pc running XP to download the driver, Don't think you need it now.
But then ProgDVB suffers from really bad crashes that require pc reboot.

Hi,
I will try DD support.
I am running QQBox in my old pc and have tested too in netbook Asus 1005HA-H with XP.
I have problem with ProgDVB after some time with audio syncronization, just retune channel work fine again.
I downloaded AltDVB StarEdition III for testing purpose worked fine without issues just selected bda2 driver, running in XP SP3, scan and watch ok, I don't have DiSEqC here, but I have Warning message when I try to open DiSEqC Console in AltDVB, " Raw DiSEqC is not supported by driver/hardware".

Leads me to believe that you are missing that Standard Enhanced USB to PCI file. If you go to Windows download do a search for it. But I thought it had been added into SP3.
Thanks for the info about AltDVB, I have an older version, I'll try the new Star Edition. Do you have a link as to where you downloaded it? Can you upload the zip file to www.download.com?
If you got that message "Raw DISEqC" then this QQ Box will not support DISEqC 1.2 as advertised.

| | | QQ Box DVB Dream Manual Updated
I added a section on dish setup.
The QQ Box is not compatable with a Dish Network LNBF.
