It's come down this the wire, and there is only one vote left. Will the merger between XM and Sirius be approved or not?

I heard the same thing. (Isn't this a done deal, Scott?).....

EW YORK (Reuters) - Commissioners at the Federal Communications Commission have reached an agreement to approve Sirius Satellite Radio Inc's purchase of XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

Republican commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate agreed to cast a tie-breaking vote in favor of the deal after winning several concessions from the companies involving enforcement issues.

"I think it's fair to say an agreement in principle has been reached," FCC Chairman Kevin Martin was quoted by the Journal as saying.

Scott amended his post before people questioned it.

to be honest it was 'tied' only in a technical sense. Commissioner Adelstein voted no only after he had reasonable assurance that Commissioner Tate would vote Yes. It was more of a protest vote than anything else.
