I see a couple of the Quali-TV receivers on UK ebay, will these models work in the US?

Quali-TV, Satellite Cable Freeview items at low prices on eBay.co.uk

They look different than the ones I see normally (like icebergs model with the curved faceplate)

Would this STILL be worth getting considering the growing number of S2 feeds?

I think that's what he means, is it worth getting even though it does not do S2

well lets put it this way

There are more 4:2:2 feeds out there than S2. That was the reason right there. I was sick of not being able to see 4:2:2 feeds

Smile Recording from the Quali-tv QS 1080 IRCI

To record from the Quali rx the video phono skt is available but the quality is not that good so to improve on that quality here is an idea that I use for both PAL Video & NTSC Video.

To Record via RGB for PAL Video
    RGB HV SCART
    1 red ........................................ 15
    2 green .................................... 11
    3 blue ....................................... 7
    Video/Sync phono skt ............. 20
    Gnd 5,6,7,8 .............................. 5,9,13,17,21
    ___________________________________

To Record via S Video for NTSC Video
    SAT RX S VIDEO
    Video phono skt .......................... 3
    Y ................................................. 4
    Gnd ............................................. 1 & 2
    _____________________________________

    Audio
    L+R
    Phono skts
    _____________________________________

Video Format should be set to either PAL or NTSC 480i

I know this is an old thread, but with MeTV moving from 87 W to 101 W this month, I have been trying to scan it in on my QualiTv. MeTV is already up on 101 (AMC-4 on the QualiTv). Using 4013 MHz 5923 SR V, I get a lock with brief audio and video, but it won't scan in for me. Has anybody else been successful?
