    awesome pics Keith

quick request...on those SC dishes, can you take a pick looking at the LNB from the dish side? I'd like to see how those brackets are mounted to the dish

Happen to have photos already (I always take a side shot of my LNBs so that when I screw up during tweaking, I can always look at previous photos to get back to where I was)!

In both of the photos the LNBs are mounted the same way, an aluminum 1 inch square tube with the centre cut out, with a 1/8 inch thick aluminum flat piece at the bottom to add strength, but more importantly, to space the top of the tube down so it is flush with the top of the LNB arm.

On the other SC dish (no photo posted, can't really see how it's mounted in the photo I have), it is just a piece of flat metal bent to go under the LNB arm, with the bracket on top.
Not as good as the metal tube mounting.

Here's a pic from 20 yrs ago , just happened to get the birdview in the picture.
Funny it's me in my cap and gown for H.S. Graduation.
Not the greatest pic but one of only a few of that part of the backyard.

Just so you all know , within 3 years of that pic we moved and left the birdview.
Was reunited with it 2yrs ago and still have it in my garage along with a 10 ft Paraclipse I picked up last year.

Don't have to worry about the HOA but do have a dictator living with me , let's just say we butt heads on where I plan on planting a BUD.

Just added a 2nd picture for Anole and Linuxman

    O M G !
One of the white, solid, Birdviews?
    In your garage?
Linuxman would be rolling over in his grave... if he were dead!
He may drive up to Chicago and give you the axe!
I may have to visit him and drive the get-away car.
Have you read his exploits in the BUD section?
    ...grumble...mumble... incoherent sobs ....

    here's my Dishfarm 07

My BUD has been there 20 years now and still used everyday. Pointed at G1 when that photo was taken. The Primestar dish is on G10 as was the 75cm dish next to it at the time. After that to X4 to try out the Ku on a smaller dish.

We tried out the Prodelin last night, my son pointed by eye and hit G16-X4. On Ku 99 is off the scale, but C band needs a little tinkering with the scalar and FD. On TP16 V, I get the religious channel on H I get PBS on AMC4, 2 deg away.

    put the C-Band dish up

got the needed parts for the dish and then I thought...."you already have one built and you mainly use the existing dish at G4, G3 & IA6...just put it back up on the deck. I'll rebuild the other one later

so I did...broke it down. Took off the scaler rings and bent down the arms. Took the 3 screws out of the frame and the dish pops off. Walked the dish around the house onto the deck and then brought the frame up and rebuilt. Hoisted back on the good table (the rock solid one that held the T90) and put LNB back on and reaimed.

G4 nets a smidge low (due to possible house cutting part of signal off) but the rest works fine. G3 Equity at 75 and IA6 at 50 or so (AMGTV). Wired up the C-Band dish into the multiswitch to go to Coolsat 5000, Visionsat and the Q (Quali-TV)

    pics are as follows
-the dish (yeah I know the panel is upside down but it still works)
-dual LNB and the partially cut scaler ring (thats when I had 2 LNB's on there...maybe it comes back)
    -dish & table
-most of the dish farm (minus one P* and the two on the roof)
    -36" at 103/97/93/89, Primestar at 107.3 & 119, Dish 300 at 110, Primestar at 74
-the way to keep the dish to stay....140 pounds of sand
    -C-Band and the 36" dish

When I want to move the dish, I pull the front board out and put that in front of the O ring and twist the dish to the satellite. Then slide the board back on.
LOS on that is between 87 and 103ish...verified this today

Nice pics everyone, jayelem in memory lane (little pink houses lol). Someday I have to find a birdview though, it's like the Holy Grail.
Corrado has nice grass there-you can tell its spring. And Icebergs got more dishes than neighbors, I bet ,haha.
I'll try to make some soon, I'm still kicking myself for leaving a lizard trap on the ground awhile back, a big gray eastern fence lizard fell in it and drowned, rest his soul. (was a spare c-band feedhorn cover, wind blew it over , got rained in and collected water, and green mold, lizard couldnt get out of the slickness I guess.)
    Icon 550, Vantage 1100HD (thanks Stogie) on .90M primestar DG380 motor.10'Sami+GI650 for c-band.
CS5000 now on 1m primestar-polar mount backup system.
