yes i do watch Red Green | It should work as a mini-BUD, my 4 foot offset gets the stronger tp's on C-band, I suspect the 5 ft mesh should do at least as well.
I recommend the Geosat Pro C2 lnbf, with a flat scalar ring.

- I agree 100% with Brent
However, since you already show two 10' KTI BUDs, that's probably not a serious idea for ya.
- you could get a prime-feed Ku LNBF and see what it'll do on Ku.
However, if it's as old as I suspect, I wouldn't bet the farm on much satisfaction.
Not to mention the motor/mount it'd take to swing it around.
If you parked it on the bird with the funny skew, would that be useful?
- given your wealth of more suitable hardware, I'd suggest ya find a local newbie, and indoctrinate him into FTA with it! - |

Or go to your local printer or newspaper and ask if they will sell you some used printing plates (sheet aluminum)
Use your existing mesh as a template to cut new, solid panels.
__________________ Currently NO LONGER in use: 10' generic mesh w/ BSC621, 24" HTS actuator, movement USED TO BE controlled by analog HTS System 20. Coolsat 6000 premium handling the signals. Range 55-137W.
BUT, MY 17 YR OLD SON had to nail it with the tractor, so now that beautiful BUD in my avatar is a pile of spare parts....
HOWEVER: Waiting to be added: 10' mesh, 8' mesh Winegard, Corotor II, 36" HD Venture actuator, 24" HTS actuator, GI 920 4DTV. Saving money for: HD FTA receiver & PCI HD SAT card for PC.
Apparently my shot at the BirdView fell thru.
If anyone knows of one near the Memphis area (within 200 miles or so) let me know, eh? |
