    Satellite dish project setbacks!

    ADVERTS 1
I was just posting some setbacks I have had on my dish farm!

Last weekend when I was fine tuning until 3 in the morning I could not find 101W AMC 4 W4, 103W AMC1 W1 or 105W AMC18 W5! Both sides of the arc were coming in great but these birds which were booming not too long ago were not. What happened was we had a few inches of wet snow and it coated my BUD to the point where reception was affected. I did not know that until I saw it the next day. Last night I had no trouble finding those plus when I rescanned some of the other birds a lot more channels came in!

And again last weekend the technical difficulties continued! Cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation can explain it with his quote "Sh*tter was full!"
I had to use up my mad money to pump out my septic tank! My satellite projects now have a financial setback! I was going to buy a DMX741 lnbf, a *Box positioner, RG6 coax, switches/splitters and I was hoping to sub my DSR922 real soon too!

The unplanned expenses stink. No pun on your situation intended. In January, my radio station's well went dry. New one was drilled, but 6 grand later........
and...with it went the budget for new equipment. Hope things get better for ya!
Dish 1: Birdview white solid, motor active for FTA using V-box VII (system modified by user "nicknjen")
Dish 2: Birdview white solid, motor not activated, used for W-5 programming on DSR-410
Receiver 1: Openbox S-10. Now working well with August 30, 2011 software after a long time with quirks!
