SatelliteGuys Reno Get Together

With the sudden cancelation of the SBE Show I have been scrambling to put something together for SatelliteGuys members and those companies which will still be heading out to Reno.

I am just looking to do a get together for all of us to meet each other and do some networking. If anything happens it is not going to be much as I don't have time to plan anything big. I have never been to Reno before and do not know the area or where to meet.

My plane to Reno leaves Connecticut at 5:30am tommorow and arrives in Reno at Noon.

I do hope we can get together and just say hi, maybe hang out and tell some good satellite stories and tips, and maybe even meet some of the folks from the industry who makes it all tick.

Please keep an eye on this thread for updates, and if you have any ideas on where we can meet, please share them here!

I think they are forecasting a storm to come over the Sierras in the next couple days (Friday?). It can make travel to Sac from Reno via I-80 a little difficult/frustrating. It's still early in the season so a lot of the time there is not much to worry about. Just a heads up.

We will get together on Thursday or Friday, I don't know where or when yet.

I won't have more details until I land tommorow at noon Reno time (I leave connecticut at 6:30am Eastern Time)

I'm already in Reno. Got the e-mail about the cancellation but the web site wasn't showing anything (it does now), so I came. Not to mention it was pre-paid and I was gonna at least get out of town

If you're not renting a car, the Atlantis shuttle makes pickups at the airport every half hour. Just wait outside in the Hotel Shuttle area.

Just landed in chicago a littled while ago and my flight to reno leaves in about an hour.
