I spend most of my time using Tivos so VOD is not an option. We have a FiOS DVR back in Dallas so I love using it when I'm back at the house...but prefer using the Tivo overall.

Both look good, but Hell on Wheels especially looks GREAT! Both seem like they are good for 1 season at least.

Set up a timer for Ringer, just to see how Sarah Michelle Geller would do with her return to network.

Removed the timer at the first commercial. Went to the recorded Top Gear program at the second commercial.

That show was depressing, dragged, and had no redeeming social value whatsoever. Won't last 6 episodes.

It is usually only about a month before you "know". Many I will watch the pilot to decide if it is a show I would be interested in to start with, then initial ratings kick in. Networks are so jumpy that after 4 weeks they decide the back end of the season.

Yep, the problem about having so many programming choices these days is that the networks are so quick to terminate a new show if it's not an immediate hit...regardless of how good a show is or whether it would gain more viewers after a season or two.
