    The Miracle Channel To Leave

    ADVERTS 1

The Miracle Channel - Canada's first Christian television station

ATTENTION Glory Star, Glory Spout and AMC 4 satellite viewers:

We regret to inform viewers that due to lack of response, the Miracle Channel will not be available on Glory Star satellite systems, Glory Spout satellite systems or directly through AMC 4 satellite effective August 1, 2008.

United States residents wishing to view the Miracle Channel are asked to contact Sky Angel IPTV at
    www.146skyangel.com

    .
I never watched Miracle Channel any way. The reason "due to lack of response" seems to indicate something but I am not sure what. They couldn't get people to buy dishes or they were expecting people with dishes to send them offerings. Not sure what they mean with that.

Miracle use to be on G25 on the really weak TP (11966...same as Russia Today) but moved to AMC4 for "better coverage" so it sounded like they were doing good

I suspect it may have something to do with a Sky Angel exclusivity contract.

I emailed them and am waiting for a reply. They have several programs I would like to see.

Here's what the Miracle Channel representative emailed:

Thanks for your email. No, we don't have an exclusivity clause with
Sky Angel. The decision was made solely on the financial drain this
project has been for the channel due to the lack of response from
viewers. We did however not want to cancel AMC4 until there was some
other alternative for our U.S. viewers to consider. Like any ministry
we have to steward our donations in the best possible way and while
we regret that this will affect some viewers we feel that we must
change our manner of distribution in this area to better serve our
    mandate.

    Thanks again for your question.

    Best regards,

    Gordon Klassen
    VP Corporate
    Miracle Channel
