What is the difference in blind scan and all channel scan with the DVR-1100c? What would be examples of use of each?

blind scan...finds the channels that just pop up for a time being or new channels. Scans all frequencies and symbol rates

all channel scan is probably a satellite scan which means it scans only the existing transponder info stored in the receiver

Thanks, that would also explain why a blind scan takes longer to complete. The manual doesn't address the nuances of scanning.
