    Audio but no video?

    ADVERTS 1
We have a customer that is having issues with her Glorystar system. Dish is peaked, signal and quality are good (one LNB is dead and being replaced shortly, more in a minute). She called us and said she had audio but the video wasn't showing up.

On arrival, the AMC4 channels had perfect audio and no video, signal and quality were good. No signal or quality on the G19. Troubleshooting showed multiple problems. The switch was shot, water had gotten in and corroded the coax and switch. One LNB was dead (No signal (Birdog), switching them showed the peaking was good).

So, I replaced the coax ends, swapped the switch with a SW21, set the receiver for the SW21, and ordered a LNB to replace the bad one. Left with the AMC4 working great and the G19 showing nothing pending the replacement LNB.

Fast forward to today (3 days later). She is having the same problem. Audio is perfect but no video. Anybody have any ideas??? Am I missing something???

    WTT

P.S. I did the original install. Dish is solidly mounted with support arms, sight is clear, coax is good, and it's grounded properly.

Reboot the receiver by cycling the switch on the rear (or unplug).

Please note that only a DiSEqC or 22KHz switch is supported in the Glorystar mode. The next firmware update will overwrite the SW21 switch selection and revert the setting back to DiSEqC and 22KHz settings.

    Swap out the SW21 for a DirecTV 2x1, 22KHz 2x1 or a DiSEqC 2x1

What type of connection to the TV? RF, Component, composite, Y/C?

Define "No Video". Are the menus showing on the TV? If no menus, is it a TV setting or bad video cable?

If menus show, but no satellite channel video, we would suggest a Master Firmware Reset procedure.

    • Power Off the rear Master Power Switch.
    • Depress the Channel Up Button on the front panel switch the Master Power Switch ON.
    • Release the Channel Up Button after the Testing Menu appears on the TV or a 0 on the front panel display.
    • Select #0 LOAD DEFAULT and press OK. When prompted, turn OFF the Master Power Switch or the rear of the receiver.
    • If using the RF output and the video does not appear, Press OK 2 (two) times and the video display will reappear.
    • Perform the receiver activation sequence.
