Step By Step Instructions - Adventist Channels Move From AMC4 To Galaxy19
ADVERTS 1
Do you have an older legacy satellite system that was purchased for watching the Adventist channels on AMC4 - 101W? Need instructions for reprogramming the receiver for the new satellite and aiming your satellite dish to the new satellite Galaxy19?
You have come to the right place! Please visit our website at
http://www.glorystar.tv/p/atvmove
for step by step instructions for the following receivers:
- Manhattan Skyline 1000 /1500
- Topfield TF3000fi / 4000 / 6200
- Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra / Mercury II
- GEOSATPro DVR1100ci / DVR1000c / DSR100c / DSR200c
3ABN and LLBN networks have moved to a new satellite. Additional Adventist Channels Amazing Facts, Amazing Discoveries, LLBN Arabic, LLBN Chinese and others will be available soon. The Hope Channels have not moved at this time. To continue receiving all Adventist channels, you must upgrade to a two LNBF Glorystar system.
If you own a Glorystar satellite dish with two LNBFs installed, only the receiver will need to be updated. If your dish only has one LNBF, a Glorystar upgrade is required to continue to receive all Adventist Networks. If a single LNBF satellite dish is reaimed for Galaxy19, you will lose Hope Channel, Hope Church Channel, Esperanza TV, ATN/ACN and LifeTalk Radio channels.
If you need to contract a local installer to assist with the satellite dish move and receiver programming, please go to a free satellite installer referral service online at

To purchase a Glorystar system or a receiver that has all changes in place and updates channels automatically, please call us at 866-597-0728 and ask the sales team for a Glorystar receiver to watch all the new and current Christian Channels including 3ABN and LLBN networks.

Hope Channel not moving?
So with 3ABN and LLBN moving to Galaxy 19, the Adventist channels will be split between AMC4 and Galaxy 19? That's not too good.

I do installations and there are going to be lots of people affected by this. Many of them have older dishes, and cannot just add a Glorystar dual LNBF kit, they would need another dish entirely (or a motor) if they want to continue receiving all the Adventist channels.
Is Hope really going to stay on AMC4? I've emailed them and am waiting for a response. Anyone else have any news on this?

We were anticipating a formal announcement last week from ministration of the Hope Channel, Esperanza TV, ATN/ACN and LifeTalk Radio.
At this time, no decision has been made. SatelliteGuys will be the first to know any decision or announcements!
From an installation support viewpoint, we would not recommend the installation of motorized systems in non-hobbyist homes. The chances of hardware failure and customer errors greatly increase when a motor is thrown into the mix. Have you considered adding a second dish with a 22KHz switch if the customer cannot be upgraded to a Glorystar system? I bet you could find many discarded StarChoice dishes that would serve well!Last edited by Glorystar1; 03-07-2010 at 05:09 PM.

Isn't Galaxy 19 a weaker satellite than AMC4?

no
G19 is a new satellite and the signals are very good
The mux on G19 is a little lower (70 vs 85) than when it is on AMC4 but still very good signalWinegard 76cm dish, SG2100 motor, Sadoun dual KU LNB..... Directv Slimline SWM 3 LNB.... GeoSatPro 36" dish with Sadoun dual KU LNB... Coolsat 5000 on motorized.... Manhattan RS1933....Directv HR34 (yes the 5 tuner monster) GeoSatPro 200 to aim dishes.... few receivers not set up yet

Glorystar1, thanks for the update...I'll keep my eyes on the forum then, so I know when to give the news on to the folks here. Unfortunately, we are in a rural area (Creston, BC), 1.5 hours drive from the nearest slightly larger towns, and older Star Choice dishes (I'm assuming you mean the 30+" ones...I once had one of those) are hard to come by. It's much easier to buy a motor off eBay! I've installed two motorized dishes, including the one I use, and have had very little problem in the last few years, but I understand that a non-motorized system is inherently less problematic (less electronics, less moving parts = less things to go wrong!).
But if it comes down to it, I'll try and swing a deal on shipping with SatelliteAV...at the moment they seem to be charging $40 shipping per dish, regardless of how many you buy...it didn't used to be like that). Would GloryStar offer me a better deal on shipping if I signed up with them as a dealer, or are you affiliated with SatelliteAV?
Shane, I'm getting 38-41% on 3ABN at Galaxy19, and 90% with AMC4 (on a Coolsat 6100, GeoSat Pro 36" dish, motorized)...so yeah, it's not that good. By comparison, Al Jazeerah on the same satellite is around 80% signal strength. I wonder if this will be a problem on an older 30+" dish? I usually find that the signal strength on a 31" dish is relatively poorer.

right now they are still testing the signal on G19...it was very strong earlier today

Yes, stronger today
You're right. I checked again this morning and it's up to 80%. A scan also pulled in the 3ABN Proclaim, LLBN Arabic, LLBN Chinese, Amazing Discoveries, and Amazing Facts channels, although they just have notices at the moment ("Coming Soon", etc.). Looking better!

Hi, I have the Fortec Lifetime Ultra, and dual LNBF. I've followed all the instructions and have received a quality strength of 49%. The channels have come in, but it's a lot less than what I had with Glorystar. All the LLBN's are in, 3ABN, Amazing Facts, Amazing Discoveries, AON. So is that all I can get now? What of the other LNBF?
Thank you.

If you had a Dual Glorystar LNB then you then you would not need to move the dish to the new satellite. I don't know if the the Fortec Lifetime Ultra gets channel updates like the GeoSat pro but is it does it would have been set up automatically with the Dual Glorystar LNB.
If you had the Dual Glorystar LNB and moved your dish then you would need to move the dish back to where it was and then do a blind scan if your receiver does not automatically updates the channel list
