Glorystar Menu Changes on GEOSATpro Receiver Models: DVR1100c, DSR100c and DSR200c
ADVERTS 1
Several changes in the Glorystar experience and menus for Glorystar activated receivers are being introduced in current firmware updates. These changes will occur in the DVR1100c firmware version 3.34 and the DSR100c/200c firmware version 1.37. The update is currently available on the satellite and receivers can either be manually updated using the OTA "UPDATE NOW" or wait until the next automatic update. The majority of these changes are necessary in preparation for launching the Glorystar EPG service.
What are the changes?
- Time is accurately GMT synced to Galaxy19, transponder frequency 11842.
- Automatic Time setting via satellite is default and Manual Time setting option has been removed.
- Channel and firmware updates will primarily be provided by Galaxy19, transponder frequency 11842, PID 330. Secondary Galaxy19, transponder frequency 12115, PID 330.
- Firmware updates will automatic occur without requiring the viewer to select YES.
- Automatic Update feature is default and cannot be disabled.
- Channel Editor menu feature is disabled.
- Installation Menus are disabled.
What does this mean? If you are a typical Glorystar viewer, the time will be accurate and you will no longer have to put up with on-screen prompts requiring you to accept or refuse updates and an Electronic Program Guide will soon be available for Glorystar channels.
Advanced receiver users will continue activate the receiver as " Advanced - All Satellites" and have a full featured, reliable and highly developed Free To Air receiver. Who is an Advanced User? You are an advanced hobbyist and may have a motorized system (C or KU-band), receiving additional satellites and channels that are not part of the Glorystar system or simply want to make your own channel lists that are not maintained by Glorystar.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare to launch the EPG service.

So what is the trick to get out of Glorystar Mode in my DVR-1100c without upsetting my channel list and scheduled recording times? When I updated I noticed I was now disabled from editing channels and there are a few channels on my old saved channel list I would like to delete. I couldn't find a menu item for switching to advanced mode. AFIK The manual just shows this being possible during the initial setup. Will 'factory defaults' revert the firmware back to the original shipped firmware or will just my settings be affected? BTW Thanks for the improvements, especially the clock, although I was getting used to starting my timer recordings two minutes early, and the forthcoming EPG is long overdue. Thanks again!

Not a full answer but should get you going:
http://www.satelliteguys.us/glorysta...p-working.html
I listed what I did in general terms. the 11842 needs to be in the first position on the channel list. Moving one there did not make it keep time for me so I scanned that one TP first, deleted all but one of the channels, since I wanted Daystar first (it therefore became second) so I scanned that TP second, then TBN's etc in the order I wanted.
Hope this answers the questions.

Oh, to answer the main question, you lose the Glorystar list when you go to advanced mode. Probably will not get EPG in advanced mode.Home base is 20 acres near N45.85 W120.58.

Not launch date, but have had several live tests and occasional feature tests during next several months on a different transponder. The channel mapping is critical and we are working on memory allocations and DVR sync. Planning on Q4.
