No video on TP 6 today
ADVERTS 1
Wondering why video ceased mid-morning today (July 9, 2011) and was still not working by evening. Audio is OK. We want to downlink live content later this week and need it working.

Each satellite receiver has a unique transponder list. What receiver are you using? What is the firmware and software versions?
What transponder frequency or channel video is in black that are you attempting to receive?
Without knowing the particulars of your system, we might suggest power cycling the Master Power Switch to see if that restores correct function.

I'm using the GeosatPro DSR200c, loaded with the latest OTA update, satellite, channel, and transponder data. We were watching a program yesterday when it suddenly went to a black screen saying only No Video. (Audio still comes through clear, and signal strength reads normal.) It's still that way today, and it's that way on every channel on that transponder frequency. Its the one at 11842 MHz, identified as TP6 on the Galaxy 9 transponder and channel list.

Have you turned the main power switch off then back on? This usually fixes the GeosatPros, the switch is on the Back next to the power cord.

That did it. Thank you. Now I wonder why, and dow often I'll have to do this. I'd hate to lose video in the middle of a downlink or recording.
