Thread: Rental availability for Blu-ray titles

Yesterday (7/29) was the release date for Stargate: Continuum. I had kind of been looking forward to seeing it, and they had been heavily promoting the fact that it was available on DVD and Blu-ray. I know MGM released it on both formats - I saw them at my local Target. Since I only wanted to rent it I called around to see if any of my local video stores had it on Blu-ray. Out of 3 Blockbusters and one Hollywood Video, none of them had even received it in store, and had only the DVD. One clerk at Blockbuster told me that they had a SKU for it, and that sometimes they don't receive BD titles day and date with DVD.

Has anyone else had this experience? Very frustrating for me, since I really don't want to rent anything on DVD anymore now that I have Blu-ray!!!

edit... BTW I did rent it on DVD.
