What would you pay for the Hopper ( Dish's new Multi room DVR) ??
ADVERTS 1
Hopper - DISH Network
Current Dish customers pay $6 DVR service on one HD and one SD feed dual dvr. $6 2 TV's (2-4 recordings at once 2 sat and 2 OTA)
Direct TV DVR service with Multi room is $7+3= $10 Plus $6 for another HDDVR / HD non DVR needed for the MVR $16 extra for 2 TV's (4-7 recordings two hr24 or hr34 and hr24)
Can dish hop above the rest with the best gear & price to go down under the competitors ?
What would you be willing to pay ontop of your Dish programing ?
I would be willing to pay $6-10 for the hopper and $15 for an extra hopper if needed for mass recordings of kids shows.
For the Joye Box i would love to see a $3 Lease fee or the option to buy the Joye with moca box for $150-200 with no extra fees.

I like the Joey purchase idea at no extra monthly... Therefore it will never "fly" with fee-happy Dish!
OK, I hereby predict (based on current extra receiver fees and the tuner count) that a second Hopper will cost $24/mo.
I'd like to have two too since that would match my current sat tuner count.

I think $10/month is reasonable for 1 Hopper + 1 Joey (same as the DVR fee for the 922). 2 rooms in HD, 3 sat tuners. Additional Joeys $5 each per month. That would undercut D* but still give them plenty of fee revenue.

Yup.. I'm an ex-AbsoluteHD person, who has just seen all the 1-year promotions expire and have my spreadsheet fully worked out on switching to D*. A good price on Hopper/Joey would be persuasive, else we are very much on the tipping point b/c the D* packages have more of the channels we want in the bottom tier vs. with Dish we have to do mid-tier. (otherwise on an equivalent tier basis, Dish is usually better pricing)
EDIT: oh, and it needs to be available to existing subs (or at least those already out of contract).

Since I signed up with a 922 I would be willing to pay the same fees. I'm guessing $5 per Joey.
In heaven there is no beer, that's why we drink it here. GO HAWKS!
