Cox Communications Inc. has started bringing CableAmerica's Arizona operation into its fold.

Cox customer care representatives have begun assisting customers affected by the Atlanta-based company's acquisition of CableAmerica. Cox technicians will be driving Cox-banded vehicles to serve all former CableAmerica subscribers. In addition, CableAmerica customers will start receiving their monthly bill from Cox.

The purchase, announced in January, resulted in the transition of about 35,000 cable and high-speed Internet customers in Coolidge, Florence, Gila Bend, Mesa, Queen Creek, Wickenburg and other parts of Pinal and Maricopa counties to Cox Arizona.

Cox Communications is a multi-service broadband communications company serving nearly 3 million residential and business service subscribers in Arizona.
